JS-2A Retrievable Packers

Model JS™-2A Retrievable Packers are used in stimulation, perforating, gravel packing and testing applications. The hydraulic hold down is below the pressure equalization valve. The tool features a proven three element packing system and a hydraulically controlled balance piston designed to keep the by-pass closed when set. The tools are available in 4 1/2" through 16" casing.

• Sets securely in any hardness casing, including premium grades.
• Three piece packing element system with metal backups accommodate low and high pressure applications for the broadest range of service.
• Hydraulic hold down button unit with large internal flow path located below the bypass valve to reduce element swabbing and button wicker dulling. These hold down piston type slips are set by pressure from below.
• Surface controlled combination bypass and equalizing valve.
• Tubing pressure actuated hydraulic piston eliminate excessive set down weight requirements. This feature is far more efficient than collet type locking systems.
• Automatic Jay Unit, setting the packer is accomplished by running to depth, picking up a few feet rotating 2/3 turns to the right and setting down.
• Straight pickup of the tubing will first open the bypass valve and equalize pressure, continued pickup will release the packer and automatically engage the packer in the running position for further operations up or down the hole.
• Carbide slips, pistons and friction pads for high hardness casing.
• P110 body, coupling and sub for heavier duty jobs.
• All JS™-2A packers come with heavy duty long acme threads and dual O-Ring Backups on the body to coupling connections.
